Below is a sampling of home and business project listings received between late March and early November of 1999. These are requests that we receive, from prospective clients, to be contacted by a design professional... such as an interior designer, home decorator, architect, landscape engineer or remodeling contractor.

When a homeowner or business facilities manager visits 'theinteriordesigner.com' seeking professional design or decorating assistance, they fill out a "Project Registration Form". This is a questionnaire which asks them, via a series of directed questions, to describe their project in some detail.

Once they "Submit" the form, it is received in our offices and reviewed by a contract administrator. The administrator then locates one of our (paid listing) design professionals whose qualifications match up with what the project registrant is seeking and who serves the area where the registrant is located.

The administrator then e-mails the project listing, as shown in the samples below, to the designer... with a request to contact the registrant and advise us of the results of that contact.

By supporting 'theinteriordesigner.com' with their paid listings, the design professional not only gets more listing spots and premium positioning under the categories or areas they serve... they also receive highly qualified leads (go ahead, study them) which frequently turn into lucrative contacts and networking opportunities for additional business.

Architecture design maintained the old style with original white oak hardwood floors, old windows, moldings. desired_effect: My style is a relaxed traditional. My dining room and den (formerly living rm) is done with queen anne style leg furniture, navy moiray swags/jabots with white shears. The family room furniture is solid navy leather. I would like to stay fairly relaxed traditional but even more so for this room. We look out onto a ravine and we leave blinds that are currently on windows open most of the time. Room faces north so can be fairly dark. No direct sunlight comes in windows until late afternoon.
color_scheme: Carpet throughout house is goldie beige. Floor in family/kitchn is maple sand laminate (looks like hardwood). Walls in Dining rm wallpapered in color similar to Pratt & Lambert 1301 (Blue fox) with border containing navy and gold. Upper wallpaper is a very small stripe in lighter blue shades. DR chairs covered in Waverly fabric I believe is Wedgewood blue with sparing gold dots. Den chairs 1-dark cranberry leather, 1-cranberry solid fabric (nothing else has cranberry)

I need some ideas on fabric for window coverings for family room & kitchen. Should I try to get someting with all these colors in it or will that be too "relaxed"? Should fabric be fairly heavy looking (like a tapestry) to keep balanced with navy swags in other rooms. I have found some fabric with all of these colors (may need to recover kitchen chairs as its not the same teal green)but I'm affaid that it will look out of place because Dining room and den are fairly formal. Should this be a concern. My house is fairly open but you really can't see much of the dining room and den from other areas of the !
